Robin Baynton
Robin is a Grammy-award winning recording engineer and film music editor.
Robin is the Supervising Vocal Editor, Engineer & Mixer for the Universal Pictures’ musical feature films ‘Wicked – Part 1 & Part 2’, directed by Jon M. Chu, and starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

As a music editor, Robin has worked on a wide variety of projects, including Wes Anderson’s last four films, ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar’ (2023), ‘Asteroid City’ (2023), ‘The French Dispatch’ (2021) and ‘Isle of Dogs’ (2018), as well as other notable projects including David O. Russell’s ‘Amsterdam’ (2022), Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2017) and Stephen Price’s Oscar-winning score for ‘Gravity’ (2013).
As a recording engineer, Robin cut his teeth at Abbey Road studios and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, before going freelance in 2009. He subsequently engineered records for Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Florence & the Machine, Kings of Leon, amongst others, and contributed engineering to numerous other projects, including Taylor Swift’s 2022 release Evermore.
