Selected Credits
Starting in the late 90’s, Jeff began writing songs for placement in American soap operas. With regular use in shows such as All My Children, General Hospital, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless, his music soon found its way into many other film and television productions. His desire to work in different genres led him to collaborate with many talented writers and producers and soon created a body of work that is rich and varied in style and sound.
Jeff’s main collaborator since 2010 has been David Tobin. After their first project of Big Band music, they found themselves writing, arranging, orchestrating, producing, and mixing everything from large orchestral sessions recorded at Abbey Road to small, nuanced ensembles, and electronic transitions and risers. With wide ranging credits from “This is Us” to “CBeebies”, they began scoring on classic BBC Radio dramas including the award winning “The Count of Monte Cristo”,” The Barchester Chronicles”, and Emil Zola’s “Blood Sex Money”. They continued to hone their skills scoring and composing for documentaries for film and TV including “Super Size Me 2”, Bettany Hughes’ “Treasures of The World” and multiple Geoffrey Baer PBS documentaries in the US. They most recently co-authored and mixed the score for the feature “Daughter of The Bride” starring Academy award-winner Marcia Gaye Harden and Aiden Quinn.
Jeff’s compositions have been performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Pops, Rochester Philharmonic and others in the US and Europe and he is a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Recording Academy.
In 2022, Jeff won a Daytime Emmy for Best Original Song with collaborators Brad Hatfield and Gaye Tolan Hatfield.
