Jack McKenzie
Jack McKenzie is an Award-nominated Scottish Composer, Orchestrator and Arranger for Film, Television and Video Games. A highly versatile writer, his music varies in genre and style, often maintaining a heavy emphasis on story-focused melodic or thematic writing in combination with the integration of unusual and unique contemporary techniques and sounds.

His music for the critically acclaimed short documentary ‘Kalu: Growing Up Wild’ (2023), narrated by George McGavin, earned him a nomination for “Best Original Score (Short Documentary)” at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards (2023). Kalu was further nominated for “Best Original Score – Short” at the International Sound & Film Music Festival (2024) along with his other scores for ‘Heart Of The Osa’ (2024) and ‘Sandcastle’ (2024), resulting in a rare total of three nominations for one Composer in the same category.
Jack’s most recent projects include Music Preparation with the London Contemporary Orchestra on Marvel Studios’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (2024), and as an Orchestrator for Aardman’s two-time BAFTA-winning ‘Wallace & Gromit: A Vengeance Most Fowl’ for BBC/Netflix.
As well as a graduate from the prestigious National Film and Television School, Jack has received extensive personal mentorship from some of the industry’s most renowned and celebrated composers, including Oscar-winning Dario Marianelli and Emmy-winning Adam Lukas. After mentoring with Lukas, Jack regularly contributes original music to Hans Zimmer’s ‘Bleeding Fingers Music’ and their partnered Production Music Libraries (SONY/ATV and Extreme Music).
