Introducing Ben Morales Frost

Ben is a multi-discipline composer, producer, orchestrator and arranger working in film, immersive events and theatre.

Recent high profile projects include music producer, arranger and orchestrator on Disney’s ‘The Castle’, orchestrator on ‘Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One’, ‘Argylle’ and ‘Luther’, additional orchestration on ‘Wonka’, and additional writing and development on ‘The Decameron’ and ‘The Old Guard 2’ (for Ruth Barrett).

Recent composition work on screen includes the score and original songs for ‘Blue’, performed by Shirley Henderson, ‘Beautiful Things’, ‘Let’s Talk About George’, ‘The Language of Love’ (Channel 4), ‘Face2Face’, and ‘Back To School’ (Save The Children ad).

Ben’s EP of new Christmas carols, ‘What Will This New Day Bring?’, was recorded with the City of London Choir and was ClassicFM’s choral choice in December 2023.

Musical Theatre composing projects include an adaptation of Graham Greene’s Our Man In Havana (The Watermill) and a new musical version of ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’, both written with Richard Hough. Their other shows include ‘Billy The Kid’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’. The ‘Billy The Kid’ cast album reached #2 in the iTunes Soundtrack charts.

Orchestration and arrangement credits include: ‘The Sound of Music’ (International Tour); ‘Starlight Express’ (Germany & UK Tour); ‘Now and Forever – The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber’ (Chicago); ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ (Arena Tour); ‘The Wizard of Oz’ (London Palladium); ‘New South Bank Show Theme’ (Sky Arts).

Other credits include: ‘Tell Me On A Sunday’ (St James Theatre – music supervision); ‘The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary’ (Royal Albert Hall — music preparation); ‘Love Never Dies’ (West End & Concept Album Recording – music assistant & additional orchestration); Theme from Stephen Ward (single for Milos Karadaglic – arrangement); ‘Sing’ – Diamond Jubilee Single (Gary Barlow & Andrew Lloyd Webber – additional arrangements).
