‘Dog Days’, the first entirely Chinese language film written and directed by an American, was released theatrically nationwide in China on March 30^th2018. Following single mother Lulu as she tries to track down her missing infant, the social crime drama offers a sad, powerful insight into the economic and emotional struggles of China’s poor and was penned by writer/director Jordan Schiele during his time at the Cannes Residency program.

Patrick’s score is an intense, textural collection of atmospheric synth and live cello. Its dissonant soundscape is inspired by the oppressive summer heat which is ever-present throughout the film.
