'Cured' Scored by Ian Honeyman Broadcasts on PBS
Ian Honeyman composed the original score for the multi-award-winning documentary ‘Cured’, which broadcasts today, 11th October, on PBS.
‘Cured’ chronicles the battle waged by a small group of activists who declared war against a formidable institution—and won a crucial victory in the modern movement for LGBTQ equality.
“This “fascinating” and “vibrant” (Hollywood Reporter) documentary takes viewers inside the David-versus-Goliath struggle that led the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to remove homosexuality from its manual of mental illnesses in 1973. While ‘Cured’ is about science, medicine, and politics, it also explores the power of activism and the process of social change, offering lessons that are profoundly relevant to the present.
