Marcelo Quinonez
Marcelo Quinonez is a dual citizen American/Canadian composer, born in Los Angeles, California.

As a child, he was constantly surrounded by music from various fiestas and family gatherings held by his large Nicaraguan family. Marcelo also studied with Flamenco guitarist Chris Carnes and was invited to Sweets Mill International Folk Music festival to accompany Chris and a variety of other Flamenco and Latin American Ensembles. All leading to his passion and talent for composing.
Marcelo has composed and performed everything from Latin Alternative music to a wide range of scores for film, television, commercials and viral marketing campaigns. He is a diverse, multifaceted artist who possesses the uncanny ability to create musical compositions that convey mood, emotion, and imagery. He has not only built and extensive library of compositions which have been licensed in numerous TV shows, but has also composed scores for award winning shorts such as ‘Saddam 17’ and ‘Help Wanted’. He scored the animated feature ‘A.C.O.R.N.S.: Operation Crackdown’ featuring the voices of Will Forte, John Leguizamo and John Cleese among others. Recently, he scored ‘Dark Specter 2’, which earned Best Original Score at both the Independent Shorts Awards and Best Original Score at the Mindfield Festival, we well as the office combat comedy ‘Lunchtime is Over’, which earned Best Original Score at the International Shorts Fest Los Angeles.
