Simon Ratcliffe
As one half of the Grammy and BRIT award winning duo, Basement Jaxx, Simon has co-written and co-produced a myriad of instantly recognisable hits such as “Red Alert”, “Where’s Your Head At” and “Do Your Thing” as well as revealing his more eclectic talents in solo work such as “Dorus Rijkers” (an Electronic Fusion project) and “Village of The Sun” (a Jazz-based collaboration with Binker & Moses.)

Although best known for his work with Basement Jaxx, Simon’s catalogue comprises productions spanning multiple genres, reflecting his diverse tastes and revealing a love of experimenting with music in all its’ forms.
In the world of film, alongside musical partner Felix Buxton and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Price, Simon co-created a unique score for Joe Cornish’s cult sci-fi thriller “Attack The Block” (2011) which was followed by both he and Felix providing all the music for a documentary about the hula-hooping subculture, “The “Hooping Life” (Amy Goldstein 2014). Recent TV credits include all the music and a theme song for the hit children’s ITV show “The Rubbish World of Dave Spud” (2018 – 2022) and the main theme for a CBeebies project called “What’s On Your Head” (2020).
